Step 1: Gather the Materials

To create a sewing machine cover with a handle opening, you will need the following materials:

• Fabric of your choice (measurements will depend on the size of your sewing machine)
• Interfacing

• Elastic

• Measuring tape

Step 2: Measure and Cut the Fabric

Measure the width, height, and depth of your sewing machine. Add extra inches to accommodate the thickness of the machine and seam allowance. Cut two pieces of fabric using these measurements.

Step 3: Apply Interfacing

Cut two pieces of interfacing slightly smaller than the fabric pieces. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, iron the interfacing onto the wrong side of the fabric.
